Nailah Belcher is an accomplished Class of 2029 student-athlete at St. Francis Episcopal School in Houston, Texas, maintaining a 3.8 GPA while competing at a high level across three sports: Track & Field, Basketball, and Volleyball.
A talented and rapidly developing sprinter, Nailah specializes in the 100-meter and 200-meter events and continues to establish herself as one of the promising young athletes in Texas. During the 2026 outdoor season, she recorded a 12.01-second 100m, demonstrating significant progression as a freshman. Her performances have earned her repeated recognition in Texas, Houston Metro, and Class of 2029 rankings.
Nailah's 2026 season included recognition as a member of the Houston All-City All-Freshman Girls Team, highlighting her among Houston's top freshman track and field athletes. She was also recognized in MileSplit's 2026 Texas All-State Track & Field selections for freshman girls, further establishing her as an emerging athlete to watch within the state.
Throughout the season, Nailah appeared repeatedly in Texas overall rankings, Texas underclassman rankings, Houston Metro rankings, and Class of 2029 rankings for both the 100m and 200m. She was also featured among the state's Class of 2029 sprint and hurdle recruits, reflecting growing recognition of her collegiate athletic potential.
Her athletic development has been marked by substantial improvement. Nailah entered high school with a strong foundation in sprinting and continued to lower her times throughout her freshman season, culminating in her 12.01 100m performance at the 2026 TAPPS State Championships.
Outside of track and field, Nailah is a committed three-sport athlete, competing in basketball and volleyball while maintaining a demanding academic schedule. Her experience across multiple sports has helped her develop qualities that extend beyond competition, including discipline, resilience, teamwork, coachability, time management, mental toughness, and the ability to perform under pressure.
